Fees & Billing
Hoppers Crossing Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice. This means, patients will incur an out-of-pocket fee (gap payment) with a Medicare rebate for the Practitioners service. Aged pensioners and children under the age of 16 will be Bulk Billed and Concession Card Holders will be charged at a discounted rate. All services are expected to be paid for on the day of service.
We welcome new patients to our clinic.
A booking fee will be payable at the time of making an appointment. This will secure your doctors appointment and will offset the consultation fee on the day of your visit.
*Please Note. Not all services fall under a standard consultation fee. Additional fees will be charged for but not limited to;
Mental Health Care Plan Preparation, Biopsy & Skin Lesion Removal, Laceration /Suturing, Hormone Insertion and Removal i.e., Implanon and IUD, Iron Infusion, Venesection. Pre Employment Medicals, Report writing, Licence renewal Medicals.
Treatment room consumables incur a non Medicare rebateable fee, eg. Dressings & Vaccines.
New Work Cover Consultations will be billed directly to the patient. It is the patient’s responsibility to follow up with their insurance company / employer for reimbursement.

***To enable a Medicare rebate on your telephone consultation, Medicare rules state you must have been seen in clinic by a GP within the past 12 months
*Consultations after 8pm weekdays and after 1pm on Saturdays incur a Medicare refundable surcharge of $10.
Why we charge a fee
The government has recently increased bulk billing incentives, but these payments still do not cover the full cost of providing high quality healthcare at this practice. To continue offering you the time, attention and services you receive, we charge a fee for most consultations. Our reception team can provide more details, including information about fees and rebates.
