Fees & Billing

HCMC is a mixed billing practice with Aged Care Pensioners being bulk billed and Concession card holders billed at a discounted fee. Private and Concession card holders need to finalise their accounts at the time of consultation. We accept payment by cash, EFTPOS, Mastercard and Visa. The clinic can submit claims on the patient’s behalf for those claiming a Medicare rebateable item. Medicare will then deposit your rebate directly into your bank account.

Please note that different fees will be charged for services including but not limited to complex consultations, mental health care plan preparation, pregnancy testing, dressings and procedures.

Work cover and Transport Accident Claims(TAC) are charged accordingly and must be paid at time of consultation. We will issue a receipt allowing you to claim reimbursement from your employer or the TAC until we receive notification in writing from the insurer with your claim details at which time we will bill them directly.

Medical examinations including those for insurance, pre-employment, commercial driving licenses and superannuation are not eligible for a Medicare rebate and must be paid in full at time of consultation.

Saturday Consultations – full fees apply to all patients.  Only Aged Pensioners will be Bulk Billed.

Medicare rules state you must have been seen in clinic by a GP within the past 12mths.


Consultations after 8pm week nights and after 1pm on Saturdays incur a $10 surcharge that is refundable through Medicare.
